Nothing can stop Anambra governorship election - APGA tells IPOB

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has asked residents of Anambra state to ensure that they shun the order given them by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
PM NEWS reports that APGA said this on Monday, August 7 against the instruction by IPOB that the residents should boycott the forthcoming election.
The governorship election in the state will hold in Anambra state in November.
Reacting to IPOB’s directive, the APGA national director of publicity, Ifeanacho Oguejiofor, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja that nothing would stop the election.
“Nobody should listen to the so called IPOB telling them that there won’t be election in Anambra, it is not possible.
“Whether we like it or not there can never be two states in a state likewise there can never be two authorities or two supremacists in a state.
“Until that is done, Anambrarians should go and register and have their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) so that they can express their choice.
“This is because the choices they make today will affect their future, so they should go all out and obtain their PVCs which is their power,” he said.
Oguejiofor also pleaded with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to give all political parties a level playing ground saying if this was done, no political party would beat APGA in the forthcoming polls.
“Since then we have been building the foundation and Willie Obiano is also building a super structure that no political party will be able to edge him out of the race.
“Whether you like it or not Anambra state is working, Obiano is equally working; the internally generated revenue of the state has improved since he came to power,” he said adding that the party’s expression of interest form would be sold at the rate of N1 million while nomination form would be at N4 million from August 8 to 10.
According to Naija news earlier reported that a pro-Biafra group led by Ralph Uwazurike, the Biafra Independence Movement (BIM), separated itself from calls made by the Nnamdi Kanu-led Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), for a boycott of the Anambra governorship election scheduled to take place on November 18.
According to reports, BIM stated that the development of Anambra state would be hampered if the boycott order is obeyed. It also said that the order was anti-Igbo.
