Pro-Buhari protesters to march to Presidential Villa on August 14.

Aso Rock, the Nigerian presidential villa, will receive unusual visitors on
Monday, August 14 in the form of protesters who are marching in support of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The Nation reports that the protesters will stage a mega protest under the aegis of the Conference of Patriotic Nigerians (CPN) on Saturday, August 12 after faulting protests against Buhari’s continued stay in London for medical treatment.
At Aso Rock, the group says it would present a position paper to Acting President Yemi Osinbanjo.
In a statement by Secretary-General of the coalition, I. A. Waiya, the groups said Monday’s Solidarity Walk is “a sequel to the recent and unfortunate unfolding political happenings in Nigeria, with the central issue of the news peddled on the medical vacation of President Muhammadu Buhari.”
It accused those staging anti-Buhari protests of engaging in “an act which is maliciously and mischievously being promoted by some unpatriotic and unguided people, who do not even appreciate the collective responsibility of preserving the integrity of the Nigerian state as a project, and sadly patronized by the Nigerian media.
The statement read: “It is therefore against this backdrop that, a good number of progressive and development organizations across the 36 states of the federation, have resolved to through a collective engagement of all other genuine political activists, true democrats and concerned Nigerians, to organize a Solidarity Walk in Abuja.
“This will serve as a mark of appreciation for the significant and unimaginable positive impacts the Buhari led government has made.
“It is meant to dissociate the right thinking and true Nigerians from unfounded and unjustified agitation for the unconditional and quick return of the President Buhari from his legitimate medical vacation in London
“The event is planned to hold on Monday (tomorrow) and is expected to be attended by over one hundred thousand Nigerians from and across the states of the federation and Abuja.”
Meanwhile, Philipconcept Blog's gathered according to online media Naija news reported recently that a group of protesters supporting President Muhammadu Buhari took over the street of the federal capital Abuja, on the morning of Thursday, August 10.
The protesters, who are members of the Coalition for Good Governance and Change Initiative group, were spotted at Unity Fountain carrying placards and singing solidarity songs in support of the ailing president.
