Why we did not arrest sponsors of Igbo quit notice - AGF.

Abubakar Malami, Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and minister of justice has reacted to the recent Arewa quit notice issued to Igbo living in the norther part of Nigeria
- Malami explained why federal government could not arrest the people behind the quit notice
- He, however, noted that the government did not apprehend them so as make peace reign in the country
Abubakar Malami, Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and minister of justice, has said the federal government did not go after sponsors of quit notice because of security implications.

According to Daily Sun, Malami made this known on Monday, August 28, at a media briefing in Abuja.
Philipconcept Blog's recalls that Okoi Obono-Obla, the special adviser to the president on prosecution said Malami and the anti-graft agencies are in agreement over the fight against corruption in the country.
AGF however condemned the disagreement between him and the Ibrahim Magu, acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), over prosecution of high profile cases on negative media reports.
Meanwhile, Philipconcept Blog's gathered according to online media Naija news had reported that the pan-Igbo organisation Ohaneze Ndigbo accused the government of being biased in the latest move to get IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu arrested.
In a statement signed by its president general Nnia Nwodo, the socio-political body said it was disappointed at the actions of the Attorney-General Abubakar Malami who approached the courts.
