I will start to thanked the Government for been there for her citizens, and offering some of our Graduates opulence (N-Power), amnesty to the riverine oil spillage affected area of (Niger Delta) and the most terrorist affected areas (IDP's). But there are some canker worm that has crept in the system which urgently needed to be eradicated before it consumes the country's politics.
Leaders must learn that they owe more to the society than just to their families, and abide by Lou Holtz's dictum that
"the freedom to your own only ends when you have obligations and responsibilities to others".Leaders must learn that they owe more to the society than just to their families, and abide by Lou Holtz's dictum that
The lesson leaders must learn is to take governance beyond the one man show of " I did this, I did that ", " I am the first to do this ", to identify capable hands and delegating functions to subordinates such that those subordinates are allowed to perform and be judged along measurable milestones. This eliminates the bottlenecks that slow down projects where the President or Governor must approve everything, all of which keeps citizens waiting for ages to enjoy electoral promises.
We need leaders that preach and live by what they professed. We can't continue to afford corruption in government which has eroded and ravaged our economy. Politics does not mean that you have to lie just to get power, politics does not provide you the right to loot our treasure while you profess honesty; politics does not mean that you provide amenities for only yourself using our common resources.
Our dear country need leaders who lead by example, leaders who ought to be prepared to pay the price of leadership but certainly not leaders who climb up the leadership ladder through corruption.
